  • Reconnecting With Family

PoNStreatment hiking 1024x683 After my car accident, every aspect of my life unraveled. Due to my symptoms, I could not meet minimal job demands and my failed attempt to return to work was devastating. When PoNS™ was approved for use in Canada I was one of the first to register for the 14 week treatment program to treat my balance deficit, and am so glad I did. After being on the sidelines of my own life for 5 years, missing quality time with family, friends and particularly my grandchildren, I am able to re-engage in life. Although the program is a huge commitment of time and energy, the benefit is immeasurable. My career did not finish as planned, but thanks to PoNS Treatment™ my retirement is so much more rewarding than anyone could have predicted a few short years ago. - M.C.
  • Investing in My Future

PoNStreatment hiking 1024x683 On my way to work as a paramedic one morning, out of nowhere, I hit a moose, and ultimately, my life changed. I could no longer work, volunteer, visit with friends, go out alone or complete basic tasks around the apartment due to my lack of balance. I actually had to move back to Ontario and live with my parents, only to become completely dependent on them. They were forced to watch me struggle day to day through therapy with no solid answers or treatment plans. The decision to enroll in this Treatment to improve my balance was an investment in my health and quality of life, so that I could have a chance of returning to work and regain my independence. I am currently in the process of retraining to return to work and am thankful I was able to make the most out of this program and technology. - E.C.

I had suffered multiple mild and moderate traumatic brain injuries due to soccer and falls. In addition to my chronic post-concussion symptoms, I had chronic balance and gait issues that interfered with my ability to play sports, work and attend school. After having tried several treatments in the past, I came to Neurotherapy Montreal hoping the PoNS Treatment™ could help me recover and return to work. After completing the PoNS Treatment™ I have experienced improvement in my balance and gait. While I may never be back as I was before my injuries, my improvements have helped me to assume a new sense of normalcy.

  • Dedication and Hard Work to Reap the Rewards

Because of better balance, I had a willingness to socialize again. I was not only able to return to work, but I applied for and received a new job in a leadership role. I was also able to return to more vigorous exercise because my fear of injury as a result of my TBI symptoms lessened. My other comment is that the PoNS™ device is not magic. It is accompanied by a demanding and structured program administered by professionals in this field. Like anything else in life, it requires dedication and hard work to reap the rewards of this scientific marvel for those with TBI. – A.P.
  • Returning to Activities of Independence

    PoNStreatment hiking 1024x683
As my balance improved, the activities that I’ve been able to return to include various activities of independence, driving, riding a bike, conversing when more than one thing in a room is going on. I engage socially in conversation, sing with a group, catch a ball, dance, walk easily on uneven ground, hike, eat in a restaurant, attend a concert, speak in public, participate in roundtable discussions, shop with minimal or with no dizziness and nausea. – K.W.
